Unnatural Attachment

You Gave Me A Virus

You gave me a virus
That leers in my brain,
Injecting into my knowledge cells
Something horrid and unforgettable.
Now I have to live with
This disease that ducks and hides
That rears up and bites
Any time you're not numbing
My sensibilities with violent
Sexual contact. When
Days are permitted to elapse
And my lust reposes,
My rancour springs forth
Hurling itself around the room
Smashing against the walls
And bouncing back into my head
Making me shudder and tremble
With the instinct to kill you -
To scour the world free
Of your sin - this disease
That disables me, leaving
A rapid series of vertiginous
Images of your transgressions
Colliding against my sanity.
