I shall never forget the moment
When my eyes first fell upon you;
For never has my heart leaped so high;
Nor my spirit sigh as sweetly as it did then.
And every instant spent with you since
Has only justified and deepened my affection,
Causing me to experience emotions that I'm convinced
Are far too strong for any one man to feel.
It is as if I am immersed completely
In an unimaginable sea of startling beauty,
Or if I have taken up orbit around
The most majestic star in the heavens.
And I fear to meet your eyes,
Because they may cause me to lose myself
In a forest of tears and longing;
Aching to be with you with every fibre of my being
For ever in a cosmic embrace that that can never be broken,
But rather be glorified for all eternity.
